We offer FEM Modal Analysis on all our fixtures to ensure the fixture resonance does not overlap with the unit under test (UUT). This practice ensures that your UUT will not be over tested, thus increasing your products chances of success.
Bare Fixture Modal Analysis
Our standard modal analyses are conducted to simulate all modes within a given frequency test band, typically between 10 to 2000 Hz. This simulation allows us to study the critical fixture modes that have the highest mass participation factors.
Fixture + Simulated UUT Modal Analysis
Our advanced modal analyses are conducted to simulate both the fixture and UUT combined. To accomplish this, the UUT mass and center of gravity are required data for the simulation. Typically, these simulations constrain the UUT to the fixture by means of simulated links, often creating a worst case test scenario, which is optimal for a design based performance study.
